The men’s team of E.S.R.C. The Elephants consists of a variety of players. TU/e and Fontys join forces to form a wonderful team together, with fat, thin, sluggish, fast, strong, agile, but above all fanatical rugby players. The men’s team has recently been promoted to the 2nd class and has the ambition to fight hard against their new opponents. As with any student team, the 1st, 2nd and also the 3rd halves are all taken very seriously. Between 15 and 20 games are played per season. Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at the Vijfkamplaan, where the trainers teach new skills and try to get the team as fit as possible. There is also good bonding work off the field, in which the La Route certainly plays a big role as well. The pinnacle of bonding is the annual trip! Unfortunately, we cannot tell you anything about that. Also, the gentlemen are mainly present in the summer months at tournaments, such as the Ameland Beach rugby tournament, under the pseudonym RC Precum.
